Auf der anderen Seite gibt es keine – jedenfalls keine medienwirksamen – Meldungen über eine erfolgreiche Sanierung eines insolventen Bauunternehmens, so dass darüber hinaus der Eindruck entsteht, eine erfolgreiche Sanierung eines Bauunternehmens sei, unabhängig von dessen Größe, nicht oder nur schwer möglich.
In dieser Arbeit soll daher zunächst untersucht werden, inwieweit diese Wahrnehmung den Tatsachen entspricht. Hierzu erfolgt eine empirische Untersuchung und Auswertung von allgemein verfügbaren statistischen Daten sowie von etlichen Insolvenzverfahren im Bereich der Bauwirtschaft, bei denen eines der größten deutschen Bauunternehmen in der Rolle als Gläubiger beteiligt struggle.
Im nächsten Schritt werden Gründe bzw. Ursachen für das Ergebnis dieser Untersuchung näher beleuchtet.
